Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone is using this type of reflector.
What do you think of it? Is it worth the $$$?
Thanks.
Marvin

Jeff Black can tell you about it. I wish I had one. Here is his link about the reflector.

I bought this kind of reflector about three years ago from B&H. Very helpful when you working alone. If most of the time you working just by yourself.. you should get it.

Great indoors, but a real pain if outside and there is any wind. Even if you have someone to help hold it, the wind can play havoc with your shots.

Isn't that the one that Jeff Black is selling??

When he gets them back in stock, I'm buying one! I can see a multitude of used for this!

What would also me nice is if this came in solid black, and translucent fabric.. to "flag" the light...and to"scrim / soften" it..

JP,
I use this reflector which is a 5 in 1 and has black and translucent. It does not come with a stand but has straps on the side to slide a pole in.

Impact Reflector

I use it outside, which can be a pain on the beach due to the wind, but it's plenty big enough for models.

LitePanel use to have a fabric that was wind resistant. it had holes covered with material that would pop out to allow the wind to go through. I had some of these until someone walked away with them and some lights.

use the LitPanel with a metel frame, light stand, sand bags. the LitePanel works pretty good. I found the PVC frames where to flexable for outdoor usage.

They work well until a two mile an hour window turns it into a kite.....

Sand bag the stand outdoors and you're fine.

They make excellent fill reflectors in the studio.
