I wish Fuji would get away from those double-A batteries..

Think of it this way. I can get AA's anywhere in the world. I've done shoots where I had to hike a mile down a canyon and climb a very steep quarter mile to the shoot location. I don't want to have a battery problem and need to get back to the car charger.

And a set of AA's cost $3 -- not the $80 - $100 for a mfg's battery.

A good set of rechargables should get you through most studio shoots and less activities...

With the D100 I don't even think about battery problems.. Nikon's battery sells for under $50 and lasts over 1000 shots per charge. My portrait grip add-on holds two batteries so that's a few thousand shots without having to carry anything else.

Shooting weddings that last several hours is a setting that isn't very battery friendly. Sure we carry double-A's but that's for the PocketWizards and little things like that. When I was shooting with an S2 at weddings the AA batteries just weren't up to the task so we used a Quantum battery.
