i would like to hear your comments/criticisms if you are a newbie, advanced and/or professional user of printroom.com. now that i am working in a studio (yeck!), i need to find a place to handle my digital files (pixs) fast, correctly and on time. right now i am using a "lab" that is NO where even close to this service. slow, inaccurate, puts MY digital orders to the PENDING bin while film orders are being processed, etc.

i apprecaite your time and comemnts, and especially for pro users, what you have noticed in uploading, arranging various/different galleries for various separate clients, delivery time and service. if you've heard from any of your clients and their friends about service, please include that too.

yes, i am thinking of getting the pro service account to set OUR own prices, etc.

Thanks!! Portraits" target="_blank">http://geocities.com/bravafotog]Portraits & stuff

I have an account there... I am not actively using it however, I will soon be.. They are good people...and have a great service.. I know a lot of wedding photographers who use their service inplace of printing up a bunch of proof pictures...less chance of image theft.. I will soon be offering prints for sale from the models who I have shot with but I have to negotiate contracts with them first because my release doesn't give me rights to sell them without having input from them....which is fair..

I know that Andy McFarland...and Von Buzard both have active accounts on printroom.com

Go for it..

I've got an account with printroom and have used them 3 times and plan to use them more. They do good work and for a reasonable price. Andy McFarland could tell you more about them as he does use them and was the one who told me about the site.

used them for about 6 months...toward the end all my prints had a yellow or orange tint. even re calibrated my monitors to try to match their ICC...nothign worked.

Started using Mpix.com ( a division of Miller Labs) ....LOVE THEM. The paper is not Fuji Crystal archive (which is what wal-mart's photo labs use) but Kodak Professional Endura. And at virtually the same prices..

they both offer test prints...get them done from each and compare...

also WHCC.com does good work too
