Hi Everyone,
I have read all of the forums down grading Nikon's
SB-80DX Flash.
Can anyone explain why the Sigma EF-500 is so great. Or is there a company that make even a better flash, either on camera flash or otherwise.
Yes, I do own the SB-80DX
Thanks

in my case..it works , cost less then the nikon sb-800, and does not have a bunch of stuff i can not use...the sb-800 would be a waste on my d100...

I own both and my personal opinion is that the Nikon is a better flash..

Nikon has a metal foot which means I'm less likely to break one off. A single button for rotating and tilting the flash makes it easier to use.

There's a roughly $90 price difference but my Sigma broke very easily and my Nikon has taken a beating and still runs strong.. I know I'm supposed to be gentle with my camera gear but that's just not always possible in my reality..
