Well, I need some recomendations for a digitla camera. I've been using Nikons forever, and would prefer to stay with Nikon because of the excellent results that I have gotten thus far. I don't have much money to spend, but I would like to hear any and all recommendation that everyone has. Thanks.

Might want to look into the Nikon D70 or D100, since it sounds like you already have a setup for Nikon and the lenses. Might as well keep that investment in equipment usable - no reason to reinvest in say Canon But, yet I am partial

Hi Isaiah,

I was in the same boat; all Nikon equipment. For that reason and because of the rave reviews for the D70, I went with the D70. I think it is outpacing the D100 as the D100 is yesterday's news. I don't mean that in a bad way because the D100 is a wonderful camera but technology moves so fast the I think the D70 might have the edge on imagery. Of course, I don't think the naked eye can discern the difference anyway. It's all just about the reviews I read. Being the anal retentive engineer that I am, technical specs always fascinate me. In all honesty, you couldn't go wrong with either one but if money is an issue, then the D70 is the better choice. I highly recommend checking out the review on www.dpreview.com as it's very well-written and very informative.

Good day sir!

Mike

I am very aware....and so are others about a new 10D body which will be released for the Canon system... but this is also where and when you will hear about any new products for your Nikon system as well......which you may want to look into Fuji or Kodak for a digital body with a Nikon mount.. Have fun!

Talk to one one of your local photography stores to see if they have a used S1 so that you may see the "used" factor first hand.

That should be a reasonable price now to get you into it and still keep Nikon glass and be happy with image results. I have used all kinds of the latest digital cameras and even though I hate the n-60 body replica for the S1, the over all image quality with color balance and levels, is still better then most others.

S3 is coming out so even the S2 will soon be a nice used price camera.

I shot Nikon for years too, but since switching to Canon, I have never looked back...

I would reccommend a 10D...
