Hi all

How do I include pictures in my post to forums?

I got the photos uploaded to my portfolio but I am not sure how to attach them to a forum posting. I drag a photo into the post area but it seems to be listing the url for the whole portfolio and not just a single picture.

Thanks
MJ

Hi MJ,

When you post, notice that underneath this text box is a bunch of links in the Instant UBB Code section. Click on "Portfolio", which will take you to your GG portfolio (if you have one) and then just click on the picture and the code to display it will be added to this text box. Press "continue" and make sure the "I want to preview my post" block is checked just above the "continue" button and your image will appear if you did it correctly.

Best wishes.

Mike, great answer, but when I do that it dosen't work.. I understand, that that option dosen't always work for others either.

But we will hope that after the "server" move/change, that it works more often.

I wasn't going to bore you windows and mac users with how I figured it out but here it goes.

My main browser is Mozilla and I couldn't attach the pictures by clicking on them with that browser. I switched to another browser, Konqueror, and it works just fine. I happen to be a Linux user so I thought maybe it had something to do with Linux but apparently it is a browser issue.

Also I figured out that you can click on the Image button and then paste in the GG url for the picture you want to post. You should be able to get the url by right clicking on the picture and then check out the properties.

So if any of you out there are having the same problem try using another browser.

Many computer security companys are recommending using anything but IE.

This post was done by clicking on the picture and the previous one was done by pasting the url.

Beats me why they are two differnt sizes.

Hey fellow Penguin lover,

I use Opera. It's frickin' seamless, dude! Great features too. I have Konqueror but I don't use it. I do have one nuance that bugs the hell out of me and that is whenever I click on a link to a web site in an email, it opens Konqueror. I can't find the "dot" file that is controlling this and it can't be set by any settings in Opera or Konqueror. Go figure. Well, that's just something else for me to play around with.

Be well.
