......what's the largest print size you have had good success with? I've been happy with 11x14, but I'm being asked to go larger. I'm assuming that a 3rd party printer would have to be used.

Thanks

I have gone as large as 20x24 and had excellent results. Exposure is critical and be careful of cropping too much. I would recommend a third party printer and if you are not color balanced for their lab ask if they will do the color correction.

Try Qube Visuals (http://www.qubevisual.com/) talk to Pledger; they have made some nice prints from digital files for me.

FWIW, I've been testing the HP DesignJet 130; if I see you on Sunday, I'll show you some 18x24-inch prints I made with it from scanned film.

The largest image I have had to print from a file taken by an S1 has been 20x24. I have seen larger, up to 40x60 that was properly handled in post production that I was asked to critique if it was film or from original digital and frankly could not tell the difference on this test. I print consistantly up to 16x20 for one of my portfolios, on my outdated printer, but it works for me, the Epson 1270. Most of the files are handled in fine jpg mode and altered to 200 dpi since the printer basically limits itself there and have much success.

What is important is proper file handling.
