I was looking through the past threads to see if anyone else had this problem/solution and couldn't find one so here is my question.
After I work on an image in photoshop and it appears perfect on my screen, when I then use the save for web feature, the image then takes on a reddish color especially in the skin tones. I am trying to figure out why it is doing this and how to stop it, any input would be appreciated.

I had the same problem a while back. It has to do with color space. In my case, I was using the adobe color space to edit my images (that is what I captured them in) and when I covert to web, it changes it to sRGB. The correction is to go to Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation and draw back the Hue to -3 or -4 to correct.

Most likely your problem is color space related. Most PCs applications are not color space aware unless they are image manipulation applications. Thus, IE and Netscare do not pay attention to color spaces (on a PC) and assume the sRGB color space for ALL jpg images regardless of the embeded color space. So 1st be sure to convert your image to sRGB before trying to save for the web.

If that doesn't fix your problem, then try the following also. When an image is saved for web, its colors do indeed change again. Usually you don't notice this but on ocassion I have. The problem is how the colors are interpreted. You can change how they are interpreted by starting the "save for web" process but before you hit the save button, look at the top right of the image. You will see a SMALL circul with a triangle in it. Press that button and try selecting different options in the 3rd group of options.

This is what the options look like:

Hi guys, thanks for the info. I tried your suggestions and was successful. Hackman that little triangle at the top was the key.
Thanks again for your help.
