Problem: When reviewing images on the CDD on the camera to determine proper exposure the images appear to be properly exposed. However, once downloaded for processing the images are consistently 3 to 4 stops underexposed.

Does anyone know how to set the camera CDD on the E20N to properly reflect the exposure of the image being previewed?

That may not be totally the E20's problem. The LCD screen is a 256 color device. It's really pretty limited. You've got to be careful about putting too much faith in the little guy.

As a rule of thumb, the contrast on the small screen is going to be pretty hgh -- so judge accordingly. If you have a brightness setting for the screen, try turning it down.

A couple of things you can do. First thing I would do is use the histogram function on the camera to check exposure and the LCD to check compositon. Once you have a proper looking histogram then you can use that image as a basis for adjusting your display if you want. Where exactly the menu is escapes me at the moment, and the camera is out of reach, but you can definitely adjust the screen.

6000 images and counting on mine this year.
