It's not the cell companies prohibiting you from using their product inflight - it's the FAA, due to the possibility of interfering with flight safety and navigation equipment onboard the aircraft.

I've got an Expodisc that I use when I'm shooting JPEG. If I'm shooting RAW, I set it to automatic because I'm going to set it up in Photoshop, anyway.

Rule #11: Talk with the models when they're not in front of the camera, and the makeup people... you can learn a LOT that way, especially if you don't...

IMAGE > ADJUSTMENTS > REPLACE COLOR , selecting the background grey and just bringing down the "lightness" to the appropriate level?

You might also consider a second hard drive as soon as you can afford it. Some folk like to backup to an on-board device while others will use an external Firewire or USB HD and keep it on the shelf...
