Well the general idea was for you to go into PS and try it yourself and hopefully learn something in the process but here you go ...

Re: Hair everywhere!!!

My quick and dirty trick in a situation like this is to make a duplicate layer and change the blending mode to darken. Then use either the gaussian blur or dust'n'scratches filter just enough to make...

Re: How to: Power Supply for Outdoor Shoot?

I use a Samlex 600W pure sine wave inverter purchased from Fry's Electronics for $199 to power my Norman P2000D pack. Yes, that's a 2000 watt pack. I cut up a pair of jumper cables to wire it...

Re: My 1st Full Frame Experience

Howdy Marty, nice shots.

You're also going to notice slightly more than a stop's difference in depth of field. F4 on the D700 will be a hair shallower than F2.8 was on the D300.

Re: Lindsey

A little dodging and burning is needed so that her leg isn't brighter than her face. Also if you have a second light available it would have been good to set it as a rim for her hair and the back of...

Re: how far does the kit lens take you

One of the most respected shooters on this site is JimmyD and he seems to shoot quite a bit with the Canon 28-135 lens.

Most of the time when I see people bitching about lens quality there seems...

Re: Tricky Mirror

Just make a new layer from the section of mirror on the right and drag it over to the left using transform to line things up. Feather the left edge a little with a soft eraser to make things blend...

Re: Retouching blood shot eyes?

Re: C/C Please

I'm sure she'll be thrilled to hear that. Thanks for such a useful contribution to the forums.

Is it okay to call someone a ****head or should I refrain? Oops, I guess I just sorta did...

Re: C/C Please - Annie from a recent shoot.

She looks a little orange on my calibrated monitor but if you like it that warm then that's cool (no pun intended). The main thing I notice is that she is running straight across the frame. Turning...

Really nice balance here between the flash and ambient light.

Re: Jessica and Ashley

Both shots are nice but I think each of them would have benefited from having a separate light on the background, with the second shot needing it the most. I generally like ringflash but here it is...

Re: Iza

I really like your choice here for the backgrounds. Can I assume they were PS'd in.

Well, of course I can assume, but would I be correct?

Re: FTP experiment

Oops, TFP would be the correct spelling and no I don't have a reference image. I was flying by the seat of my pants and/or making the **** up as I went. This is why I am asking for advice. Does it...

FTP experiment

I snuck this in at the end of a TFP session. I have a possible maternity shoot coming up and wanted a preview for an idea I am working on. There are a couple of obvious things I don't like. The white...

Re: Ana Maria - Second shot

Re: Another Debra - for Valentine's Day
