Re: LCD Monitor Advice

I have both the Samsung 204B and the 225BW each connected to identical dual-core PCs and with the same Adobe software. I believe the 204B (20-inch LCD) edges out the 22-inch 225BW for work in...

Re: Professional VS Amatuers....

I suspect that if one has to asked himself "Am I a professional", he probably already suspects the answer is no.

Re: Background artists

Like Dirty Harry used to say in the movies, "A man's got to know his limitation." And when it comes to painting backgrounds, I first except the fact that I am not a Rembrandt or Carl Spitzweg and...

I use both a Manfrotto Autopole system with three-hooks and an old steel set of background stands made by American. The autopole system is light and fast to erect. The American stands could...

Re: customer wants 300dpi images ?

I am constantly using 300dpi images for use in publications and graphic designs for customers, so I'll give you the perspective from a Nikon NEF/Raw conversion to a 300dpi jpeg.

When I open a...

Re: High-speed sync flash

I cannot possibly imagine what you would need a flash/shutter sync speed higher than 1/500 for glamour - unless you are trying to stop a bullet in flight and from experience I can tell you that more...

Re: What should I do next time?

36x36 is not a small softbox, several manufactures list their 36x48 as large and their 24x32" as medium. Now you want small, I've got a 12x16 box. With a 36" square softbox you would have had a...
