Here is mine. Shot this year on Kodak TMax 100. Developed in XTOL 1:1.

Re: Zombies! Zombies! Zombies! (Warning: Bloody babes)

I love these type of movies. The shots look great. Make sure you let us know when the trailers etc are done so we can see your progress. I'd love to buy a copy of the DVD when it's ready (assuming...

Re: New member from Australia - really wanting to get into glamour/portraiture

Welcome Daniel,
You may want to look into coming along to a Brisbane Camera Group meeting. The digital subgroup is very informative and organise regular portrait workshops at a property in...

Re: where'd it go?

Yeah, I noticed that too... I had to search for the "New Posts" link, which I found in the Search menu link.

Re: Frustrated with my results, any suggestions?

By rotating the camera to recompose, the distance to the eyes changes. Not by much, which is why you only notice at wide apertures. If your camera supports it, you can move the focus point to where...

Re: Unemployment ...

If anyone in Australia is reading this thread, it is a perfect example of why Howard's new Industrial Relations laws must be repealed. This is the sort of thing that will happen under the new laws....

Re: Emulating a Master

Copy from one source and it's plagiarism. Copy from many sources and it's research!

Re: Online exhibition quality printers

This lab is in the Philipines, however I hear their prices are well worth it, and their quality is very good. I know of a local photographer here in Australia that sends them (black and white)...

Re: Copyright or wrong ?

That's the strange thing about all these international agreements. I guess subtle differences still remain. As I said in a previous post, the original poster's proposed uses may be acceptable here....

Re: Copyright or wrong ?

It is a commonly held belief that it is fair use to copy a CD onto a tape and listen in your car. This is a common belief in both the USA and in Australia. I don't know the specifics about US...

Re: Copyright or wrong ?

No! You don't have the right to copy the song at all except in a very small number of situations. This is not one of them.

Yes you do. In this instance you are not copying it, the magazine has...

Re: Copyright or wrong ?

Too true. My wife always says: "What are your damages?" In this case... I don't think there are any... but it only takes some enterprising lawyer to find something (make something up) and you have to...

Re: Black Seamless Paper or...

I use this velvet type stuff. It is specifically made for photography and works a treat. I have no idea where to get it in the U.S. though. For those in Australia, Dragon Image is where I got mine....

Re: Copyright or wrong ?

Copyright is the right to copy. Do you have the right to copy a music song and send it to a friend? No. That doesn't change when you change medium. Check the fair dealing (also known as fair use)...

Re: Need help with child model legality - please

Arizona Criminal Code. Quite a read. It might take you a while to sift through it. It is generally related to the age of consent, which in QLD, AU, is 16. There may also be restrictions on what can...

Re: Dilemma

I know that in some jurisdictions truth is a defence, but in Queensland, Australia, it is not a defence. I'd be careful whether it is true or not.

Re: Need help with child model legality - please

In Australia (Queensland specifically), I wouldn't put any model under 16 in any provocative poses or try to make them look any older than they are. Until she turns 16, I wouldn't touch any of the...

Re: Histogram Primer, Part 2

There is some evidence to suggest that you should "shoot to the right", which means adjust your exposure so that the histogram is just short of blowing out the highlights. The reason for this is that...

Re: Do not use brown -- you might be sued!

This sounds very similar to a chocolate company here in Australia claimed to own the colour purple. The Federal Court put them in their place.

Re: B&W Film

I second the suggestion of Kodak TMax 100 (TMX) developed in XTOL. Although I rate mine at ISO 100. I have found that contrast is high with TMX in Rodinal and the grain structure is clearly defined,...

Re: Wiring issues

A RCD is a must. You shoudn't need more than 1 separate circuit. The most limiting factor for electrical devices is the rating of the power points themselves. They can only handle a certain current...
