Re: Sigma Lens Question

Compatability will not really be a problem until Canon updates it's bodies. Then all bets may be off. This is a common problem with aftermarket lens on either Canon or Nikon bodies. For example...

Re: Shooting tents/product photography

The only suggestion I'm going to make is don't buy a light tent that is too small. The 3x3 size somebody else has quoted should be more than adequate.

Re: Your thoughts on the new design...

A couple of thoughts:
1. I find the new site far too busy, with more headings (topics) than are needed and it is not easy to navigate around. I find myself making many false trips. Fewer headings...

Re: Specular background Question

I don't know if anybody has suggested it yet, but why don't you buy some silver textured paint. I know it comes in spray cans and you could spray it onto foam core, etc.

You might have to...

Re: D-50 with Nikkor any opinions?

As well as being a photographer, I work part time in a Camera Store and am familiar with these cameras. The D50 was aimed for the amateur market and is designed to give an excellent colour correct...

Re: Canon Mark IIs

I can't comment on the colour/tone issue but anything I've been told or have read rates the D2x as having the highest resolution of the two cameras.

I know some pro's who use the D2x, and they...

Re: Question For Nikon Digital Shooters

Dave

You'll find that just about any Nikon Mount manual lens will work on the D70, D100 etc., but you will have to use them in manual mode. Not really a big deal as you have the preview screen on...

Re: Nikon D200 worth it or not?

With respect to the DX lenses. They are designed for the CCD in the D100, D70, D50, D200, D2x etc. You'll find most if not all of them cover off some portion of the wide angle range as that is...

Re: Kelly

Stan. Here's a couple of very general suggestions as it sounds like you are getting really frustrated. The KISS principle works well in many things, including Photography. KISS - Keep it simple...

Re: Jumping In... My first 2 models

A couple of suggestions.
1. Hands - They always have to be watched out for. With both models they have their hands clenched. In this type of picture they shouldn't be clenched but rather follow...

Re: I think I\'ll give this a try!

The K1000 is a good basic camera but unless you know what to look for you can end up buying a mess.

You might want to consider one of the newer film cameras with both AF/M as well as having full...

Re: Tristar radio remote trigger kit any good?

I use something similar up here in Canada that sells for around 150.00 CDN. It's distrubuted by Tristar.

For the most part it does the job but occasionally it will misfire. There is only one...

Re: Another Nikon Bites The Dust, RIP.

I'm a Nikon user but have nothing against Canon or any other camera system. Far too much time and energy is spent talking about which equipment was used to take what photo.

The member who posted...

Re: Canon 28 - 70 2.8 L vs 24 - 70 2.8 L

There has been some sharpness issues with the 24 - 70 lens when mounted on a 20D. This is always at the wide angle.

That's pretty common with any wide angle lens that was orginally designed for...

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I work in the photo industry and sad to say when they get wet it's usually bad news. If it was salt water its basically junk. Fresh water isn't as bad but to have any of it repaired will not be...
