Re: Head Shots

I like the first one best, I often have two catchlights, or ring ligth catchlights, that's just perspnal preference on what you like.

I think you did a good job on lighting the second and using...

Re: Training with model

In the first one, I think the light is just a little too bright on the left side of the image. I really like the lighting and pose on the second one. Very nice work.

Re: New Model - AJ

Those are all beautiful. Good luck in finding a model you click with, it doesn't happen very often.

Re: Peters' Choice @ Photokina 2008

I think the trird is the best. You got so much detail in the dark coat and yet her face and the snow are correctly exposed too. Really good work on all of them.:congrats:

Re: Emily's first latex shoot.

Thanks, that's my favorite too. She has a great figure for latex.

Backdrop is a 50' X 4' roll of radiant barrier insulation from Lowes. I cut it into 24' lengths and glued the seam together to...

Re: Emily's first latex shoot.

Thanks Peter, it was a lot of fun with her. The neck piece is from a lady in France, HMS Latex.

Re: Anyone want to recomend a workshop?

Dave knows how to light and also how to teach. Well worth the admission price.

Emily's first latex shoot.

I shot yesterday with a beautiful young model from Pennsylvania who has done some glamour work but had not been shot in latex before. We both had a good time.

I think Marty is like the Pied Piper, only he attracts gorgeous ladies. I'd love to know his secret too.

Re: ABR800

You did really well for the first attempt, and I agree that it's great to have a beautiful live-in model to practice with.

Re: Miss Nancy Patton

I like the first one best, I think the hairlight accent helps make the scene. Very pretty model, very nice work.

Re: Back to the pool

I think that's a fine shot. The slight shadow adds depth and makes the image look more natural than a strobe filling all the shadows.

I wouldn't change anything.

Re: Confessions of a fan of GWCs

If you read what I wrote, I never said there was anything wrong with being an amateur or hobbyist photographer. Amateur or professional has little to do with images produced, some good, some bad in...

Re: Confessions of a fan of GWCs

[quote=RickHughes;267219]I am always baffled at the connotation that those that are GWC's are horrible people. Maybe some people just do it for fun?

If I understand what a GWC is, it's simply a...

Re: Confessions of a fan of GWCs

You are certainly free to label yourself however you wish to, but why would you pick a label that you acknowledge has widespread negative connotations?

A guy who wants to shoot pictures for fun,...

Re: New Ring Flash

I agree that it's a fun light to shoot with. It does look a little too hot on her face. I know I have to take a few test shots to get the level right, and then if you move closer or further away, you...

I don't see a prob;em with the position of her feet/legs. I like it a lot. Really good lighting and nice color saturation. Good work.

I think you nailed the lighting, and the poses look fine to me, I would be very pleased if they were my shots.

I know that I'd remember if you posted them before and I'm glad you posted them today. All very nice, but I'd pick the third as best overall, very beautiful.
