Here is an example. I have another in my portfolio...

Re: Looking to scan 35mm negatives to computer

I recently bought the Nikon Coolscan 5000ED. It scans at 4000dpi and works great. It can do batch scanning of film or slides and can do quite a bit of processing on each image as needed. Quality is...

Re: Studio Image

Hi Jim,

Nice shot. Did you get a studio now?

I am scanning film as I send this. Just got a Nikon Coolscan 5000. Started working on the 30 years of slides I have stored away. There are a few...

Re: Question: Lighting for muscle definition?

My recommendation is to use hard lighting, lit from the top or side. No bounce, no umbrella, you want to maximize the definition. Light 90 degrees to the camera axis to maximize texture.

This was...

Re: $40 Smoke Machine

I built a chiller out of a 48 qt cooler to keep the fog on the floor. Works great. Here is a link to the kind I built.

Jason's Handiwork

I was back in the swamp and managed to catch a little of Jason's Handiwork. Sarah was a good sport, the tub is only 26 inches in diameter.

Re: 2nd. carrywith camera...Canon G6 or G7?

If your looking for a carry all the time camera I would get one that would fit in your pocket. If it's not convinient you won't carry it. I use a G2 when traveling for my day job. It is definately...

Re: High fashion

To me you need fashions in order to shoot fashion. It is not about the model, it is about the clothes.

Re: Brand of Printer and paper.

I've heard opinions as low as 11 ml and as high as 15 ml. Epson doesn't say.

Re: Brand of Printer and paper.

The K3 ink set is 9 inks. The 3800 loads all 9 cartridges. The 2400, 4800, 7800, & 9800 load only 8 cartridges, the matte black and photo black have to be switched out depending on the paper.

Re: Brand of Printer and paper.

There is some funny economics btwn the R2400 and R3800. Not as much price difference as you would think.

Cost - ink = Printer cost

R2400: $799.95 - (9 x $13.00) = $682.95

R3800: ...

Re: Brand of Printer and paper.

I got the Epson 3800 two weeks ago. So far it's great. I have been printing on Epson Premium luster and Lexjet Esatin. Love the prints.

My old R800 was dying so I picked the 3800 for its print...

Re: Answer a Photo Question then leave a Photo Question?

No. Film has more range. Off the top of my head I think digital is 5 stops and Tri-X is 7 stops.

Here is a picture of my Gowlandflex. According to Peter Gowland it was made in 1973.

So what...

Re: Answer a Photo Question then leave a Photo Question?

The Scheimpflug principal has to do with focusing a view camera.

Had to look up the exact definition. A perpendicular from the film plane intersects a perpendicular from the lens plane at a...

Re: Am I making too big a deal of a model's repeated cancellation

I think you are over reacting. She did call to cancel, more than some will do. Most glamour models are less than half your (or my) age. Don't expect the same level of maturity and responsibility that...

I like #2 the best. Good expression and layout.
