Re: In Search Of Better Photographs

I also shoot just about everything in RAW these days, even weddings. CF cards have gotten so cheap now that storage is not really an issue. To me it just makes sense to give yourself the latitude...

Re: Monitor Colour Issues

Actually Colorvision (Spyder) is on the low end of the scale. Most other options are a bit higher. You might find one on the used market like ebay or some of the camera forums for a little less. If...

Re: Monitor Colour Issues

+1 on the spyder, I've been using one for years now. Then you will know that the colors are accurate on YOUR screen. Unfortunately with digital photography, the big unknown is what your image is...

Re: Enhancing facial wrinkles

There are so many ways to get to the same result in photoshop, that it's hard to recommend just one solution. I'm a big fan of plug-ins and one of the very best I've found is called Portraiture, it's...

Re: Up close and personal with Kimmie Jade

I love the 85, and it does make you work your feet more, compared to the 70-200.

Re: Easy nudes at home

Thanks for the image Jeff, I have one just like that, (the screen, not the model! :( ).
Did you have your camera sitting on the floor?

Re: Need Help W/ Lightroom

Dave, the software that came with your 30D is all you need to shoot tethered. That being said, I vastly prefer Lightroom over Canon Capture. It's just a much smoother workflow. You will need to load...

Re: Good, low-cost light meter?

Your in camera meter will not work with studio flash, you'll need a hand held flash meter to set your ratio's and exposure. Most flash meters will also meter ambient light in either incident or...

Re: Virginia Beach Photographer but right now, FAR FAR away...

I hear you on the renting. I'm currently working out of a basement studio. It's pretty nice but I can only dream about 10" ceilings. I end up doing lots of shots with the subject sitting on the floor.

Re: looking for portable softbox techniques

Hey Don, long time no see. Are you and DeAnn still shooting? I always enjoyed your work, even when you were just starting out. I'd love to see some of your current stuff.

Re: CF cards

Type 2 cf cards are just a little thicker then type 1. Other then that they are identical. Type 1 cards will fit in a type 2 device, but type 2 cards will not fit in type 1 card slots. I don't know...
