Re: Fog Machine question

When I use my cheap wal-mart fog machine, I angle the output into the background and let it "catch" some of the fog. For fog that gets in front of the model I have an assistant with a piece of foam...

Re: UV Filters or Not?

When I looked at the front of my lens the other day and saw all the crap on the filter, I was very happy it was there.

Re: Fuji S5 color/white balance issue help!!!

I get the blue spot when I use one particular older lens that's not coated for "digital", I think it's a reflection of the sensor off the lens. Did that on my S2 also.

No idea what the magenta...

Re: Film advance lever stuck...ANy ideas?

The SRT-102 doesn't depend on a diode for film advance, nor a battery. It's a mechanical film wind, and it's broke. If this is the first time you used it, it was broke when you bought it. I'd...

PMA

With the PMA tradeshow next month, I'd wait. Then maybe you can pick up a used 20D when Canon brings out its next new thing.

Re: RING FLASH

This topic comes up about every other month. You might want to search.

The on camera units aren't powerful enough to do people work well. You need a pack & head unit and to spend some bucks.

Re: Budget Radio Slaves

I have the ebay ones. I'm not overly excited about them, they work "ok" but aren't great. But, for $60 (including shipping) they are hard to beat.

Watch for interference with cell phones.

Re: Porn or Glamour........

Rather than complaining here and waiting for a moderator to happen by and read this thread, why don't you e-mail one of them directly? That works better I think.

Re: Tried that...

oh yea, rename the folder then tell the camera to restart numbering rather than continous numbering. Forgot that step.

It does work, I've done it.

Re: What did I screw up...

I'm pretty sure you can just put the card in the computer and rename the folder and when you put it back in the camera it'll be fine.

Re: Am I goin nuts? (Sorry large files (2))

Many cameras generate their histograms from only the green channel, which has the most pixels.

I *think* the Canon 20D doesn't have a real RGB histogram like you would get in Photoshop. Check...

Re: Krazy Glue Accident.. :-( HELP!!

Acetone, which may (or may not) be found in nail polish remover.

Also use a pencil or something round to slowly roll between your fingers, if you can. (Saw that on the History Channel)

Just...

I would be worried more about no visible signs of clients and mediocre models rather than paying a reasonable amount of money for a single shoot with a house photographer. As I said in my first...

Sounds reasonable to me.

Although I'm not a professional photographer and wouldn't charge that much, $40 for a 9x12 doesn't seem outrageous. The couple of times that I had models want me to make prints, I think I charged $20...

Re: SCAM???

From what I understand, paying for tests is normal. Just so long as you have your choice of who you can test with.

I don't or need anymore than 8 or 10 megapixel, but I want speed, 8.5fps if just fine.

Sounds like the Apacer burner is right out.

Pity, the -100 model looked like it was exactly what I wanted.

Any thoughts on any other brands? What about the Kanguru, aside from battery life - or lack thereof.

Any experiences with battery powered CDR burners with card slots?

I'm looking to get a battery powered CD-R burner so I don't have to drag around my laptop on location. I've found two manufacturers so far Delkin, Kanguru and the one that's Rolando reviewed.

I'm...

Hi Alice Marie,

I'd like very much to know what you did and how. I e-mailed you at the beginning of the week, but hadn't heard back. So I'm posting here.

Thanks
Bill
