Re: It's gone too far....

I think this was the government.

The main problem with all of this is who decides..some people are, according to their sincere beliefs, offended by the slightest display of skin - normally...

Re: Fashion Shoot

I think the answer is in your own paragraph - " to emphasize whatever it is the image is pimping". The model, while being photographed to not be the center of attention in fashion photography, is...

Re: Photographers, I Need Your Feedback :::

I just finished a week at the FotoFusion event in Delray Beach. As part of that I did 3 nude shoots, 2 - 3 hours apiece, model ratio about 1:3. The instructors were Kevin Ames, Vincent Versace,...

Re: Fashion Shoot

I think I remember Rolando saying, in one of his books [I'm too lazy to walk over to the bookcase right now and figure out which one], that one of the differences between glamour and fashion was in...

Re: End of year... some odds and ends

Re: DSLR Sensor Cleaning Recommendations...

I use a combination of a rocket blower and, for heavier requirements, the "Copperhill" method, which is essentially the spatula, pec pad and eclipse fluid mentioned but the spatula-like tool is...

Re: Jules

As for the expression, I just figured her finger tips were in a mousetrap under that pillow/comforter whatever.......:D

Re: Balloons

Might try using broken balloons, might not hang as bulky (you seem to have enough of them)

Re: CS3 install problems?

I had a huge amount of trouble. It took me 2 days. I finally just decided to let it keep trying to repair the previous install in a series. Every time it failed I just reinstalled it, it seemed to...

Re: Kelly 8-19-07

That's not a mirror image, don't know what it is but a mirror image it's not. A mirror image won't turn letters upside down, unless somebody put them on the building like that.

Here's a "mirror...

Re: Kelly 8-19-07

I'm wondering, since we're getting the "instructor's " words second hand, if he wasn't saying the same thing thing you are. Get it right but don't let the camera make your decisions for you, that...

#1 is my favorite of the 2. No critique so that I don't violate rule 10.

Re: 2nd. carrywith camera...Canon G6 or G7?

I'd go with the G6. I talked to a Canon rep a few months ago who was really unhappy with the lack of RAW on the G7, thought the Canon marketeers were way off base in doing that. Since all I shoot...

Re: Pole Dancing?

You can also buy a prop pole at an adult toy store (er....so I've been told) or look on line. Unless it's bolted into a ceiling joist you can't use it for anything but a prop though.

Re: I just recived

Your translation and my translation of the Diaz 07-25-2007, 07:41 PM post are completely different. I read it as the photog was shooting his wife & kid with a new still camera on Jetty 1. The...

Re: TFCD "Rates"

I'd take out all occurrences of the word "necessary", they aren't necessary. (IMHO they just create a possible confusion factor)

You also don't define "commercial purpose". If she gives a photo...

Re: Dream of the dance

A couple of variations on your theme:

1). Use the dancer (in a decluttered mirror image) but have an elderly woman in front of the mirror (recapturing her youth)

2) try a 5 - 10 year old girl...

Re: bridge as background?

You could try a night shot if the bridge is lit, flash on the girls in the foreground, of course.

I didn't have any girls to shoot but here's an example; [click on the link, don't know why it...

Re: Some new "flamour" images...part two

I could never be a pro photographer, I would not have been able to resist the obvious (and most overdone) pose for picture #2

Re: Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2

I bought one last year with my 30D and 580EX. It definitely works well and, as I haven't had any lights before this afternoon's UPS delivery, has let me put my light a good distance from the camera....

Re: If you were reshooting these...

1) One bottle of red wine, 2 glasses with wine
2) the glass closer to her with 1/2 the level of wine as the glass further from her
3) At most a flower bouquet in addition to the wine, REAL red...
