Re: Texas model search comes up short ...

FWIW, even with all the member's information properly entered, the search here still does not work. I've been pointing it out to Ronaldo now since April and he first promised a fix within a few days...

Re: Stupid, Stupid, Stupid - I'm depressed

Thanks for the explanation, Kevin. I actually am familiar with Lab Sharpening, but was thrown by your mention of "alpha sharpening".

One of the tricks I use from time to time is to make a...

Nice job, Kevin! Really nice.

Re: PS Teeth Whitening

I second the suggestion about Scott's book and that teeth whitening technique. I use it all the time.

I make my selection around the teeth with the pen tool, which is absolutely positively worth...

Re: Help with posting images to G1

LSC, that shot looks better. You're getting there! I see that you've properly assigned sRGB and the size looks fine also. The only question I have is how you downsized the image. As you downsize...

Re: Photo retouching or how the supermodels realy look!

I think that's a really sneaky way for you to advertise your retouching services here. And I personally don't like that.

Re: Help with posting images to G1

I really suggest you get yourself over to FredMiranda.Com and pick up his WPPro (Web Presenter Pro) plugin. It only costs about $20 or so and it's worth every penny.

Using it you can downsize...

Re: Water, Lights, Safety?

Thanks everyone for the nice comments about the image I posted with my question. Glad you like it.

Using a GFI circuit isn't really going to work because most of the locations I've seen with...

Water, Lights, Safety?

Someone pointed out to me that I did a very stupid thing a few months ago... I used a couple of Alien Bee monolights powered by their Vagabond battery pack for some pool shots. I was very careful,...

Male Model Shoot

It's very rare that I shoot male models, but yesterday I had a session with a local model and actor... Luc Bernier, o*m*p 140462.

And I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it went. Unlike a...

Re: Recommendations for soft boxes - pros/cons

Well, in that case you should know it's a 5' Photoflex Octodome with white interior (this shot aided by a 42" soft-gold Photoflex reflector right below the main light in a sort-of clamshell...

Re: Shot Yesterday

Gee Steven, you call that the "least" revealing? I'd say it reveals quite a bit! :)

Nice work. (Would have loved to have seen some catchlights though.)

Cheers!

32-Year Old 1st Time Model

I shot 32-year old Linda a few days ago after she saw some of my work and came to meet me. She'd never ever modeled before, for anyone. But had always wanted to. Life, and three kids, always...

Re: Tips for PocketWizards?

Marc, the most useful setup (in my opinion) with Alien Bees is to get their Wired remote control (US$99) and to connect your PW receiver to that. That way you don't have to rely on the optical slave...

Re: D200 Internal Image Processing

What does it mean, "When I got the photos back..."?

It sounds like you didn't process the images yourself.

Setting color balance and adjusting the images is something that's usually done as...
