Mark if you first see the image while scrolling down in your browser at just below the bust point or so it might be more apparent in what you are seeing.

Not everyone needs a freekin fast burst rate. There are reasons why portrait photographers use fuji and there are reasons why certain photographers choose faster burst rate cameras like Canon....

I don't know what camera he uses vs yours. Perhaps it's the camera.

It's been my experience that Canon, Nikon, Fuji etc will shoot different regardless of custom white balance or same...

Black and white is in me. D-72 and D-76 have been in my blood stream and stained fingernails since 1984. Maybe that's why I am whacked. I managed a lab years ago. Both color and black and white....

I think it's important to note for determining if your meter is that far off, is to how or where you placed the meter?
