Would love some tough feedback on these...

This is the first I've posted for a critique on GG. I very much admire the work of so many on this site. As such, I'm hoping I can get some tough feedback on these images to help improve in any and all areas. The model is Jocelyn out of Central California. She was great to work with, full of energy and I would recommend her to all.

All in all there is something good about all of them. That said here's my feedback;
1. I am not a fan of this kind of crop/presentation. That said I like the pose and her look. Lighting is good.
2. Does not work for me. Her expression kills it.
3. I like this very much but she had apparently just been on her knees in a previous pose because her knee is very red. I'd clean that up in PS.
4. Okay but doesn't fit for me. The environment/props seem inconsistent. Also seeing only part of her tat only makes the viewer wonder what it looks like and so it is a distraction.
5. I like everything about this image, very well done.
6. My favorite, pose, lighting, composition smile - wonderful.
7. Okay, but something bothers me and I can't put my finger on it. May be that the skirt should either be pulled up even higher or it should be totally smoothed out. Not sure.

I like the series, keep posting and thanks.

Thank you so much for the feedback. That is exactly what I wanted.

#1. I have a straight on composition of this shot. I'll process that one.

#4. I hadn't considered the incompatibility of the elements/props. (back to the drawing board.) I guess I should consider KISS.

In #2 her expression is almost 'okay, here I am'. To me a more sultry or inviting look would be better but depending on the model that can be hard to elicit. On #4 I have used the famous Linen and things canopy. What I have found is it needs to be over a bed or a chase lounge. People don't usually have a sheer canopy hanging over their fur rug. I have used mine just over a black backdrop and created some unusual black and whites. I like the furry rug just do some with it by itself and maybe keep the light off the backdrop. These are just ideas. Keep shootin' you got the eye.

Thanks Mike. I agree completely and I'm still chuckling over your comparison of the use (or misuse) of the canopy. I'll not make that mistake again. :-)

Glad I gave you a chuckle. I wouldn't say 'misuse' necessarily. I shoot a lot of boudoir so I tend to think that way.
