No ripping required. I like the photos, the lighting/shading, the model is attractive, and she shows some emotion in her expressions. The first three would be the ones that I prefer.

I think #1 is the best. The beads work well as a foreground framing element but not as well as a background. I believe the lighting is more interesting also on the #1 shot. Good work!
Cheers,

I like all the photos, but I think the first three are of the best, the only thing that I can see in the first one that is a little on the trouble some side for me is the stray hair on her right eye. But that is just my 2 cents.

Greg,
219 posts and not one single image of your own. Don't be shy - let us see some of your work bro. You are very active in the community, just curious what you like to shoot.

Not True.. I put up a TBC (to be critiqued) photo here last month.

Of course, that was before I figured out that if you post photos from your portfolio, then change them, that you will have broken images.

I thought for sure I could "edit" my post.

BTW.. you can always take a look at my portfolio or that of my wife.

So far the only "model" I have photographed has been my wife. (MAN AM I EVER BLESSED)

BTW - If your in AZ feel free to stop by for a photo shoot?

I will try to submit some more photos. So you won't think I am feeling left out. LOL

I'm new here, so I'm not really comfortable adding my two cents, but I love the first one. Perfect posing!

Hello Ernie.

In general I like the pics. But when I look at my pics, I look at them and say, what could I have done to make this pic any better for my personal tastes. So I have something to strive for to take me to the next level.

I think the models personality is coming across well in picture 1 and 3 the best.

In picture 2, due to its angle, the model's head appears alien in shape (no offence to the model). The closest thing to the camera will appear the largest and so the top of her head appears round in shape and comes down to a point (her chin). The camera left (her right check bone) appears to come out while the other side does not (due to lighting) and thus I see a wierd shape on her head.

In picture 4, her right thigh (camera left) is not complementary to the model. Since she has a few extra pounds on her that pose isn't complementary to her. I would have her slightly turned away from you on the hips and thus not having the thighs straight on like it is. Then when she shifts her weight like she did, the thigh doesn't stick out like that.

She seems to have good skin, why overexpose the face like you did? I know some people do that regularly but to when a model has good skin like she does, I wouldn't do it. I get in nice and close to show it off

The thing that jumps out at me is the main ligh from the right seems too small.... I would suggest trying some light modifiers (octodome, large softbox, etc.) to wrap around the nose and other things to soften the harshness of the shadows.
