Here is an image from a recent shoot with a new model that goes by the name Effigy. She is easy to work with, but very new. We could have used the services of a good make-up artist for this shot. She did her own make-up and was trying for a wild a crazy look in this shot. As always comments are welcome.

"Effigy" is certainly... distinctive. Does she know what it actually means? I'm not so sure it's the wisest marketing decision, frankly.

But that's just me.

A basic nice photo. The lighting is a little dark for my taste. Also note the crease on the left shoulder. That's a little detail that should be cloned out or caught when reviewing the pose. The image is a trifle sharp and would be better if you slightly softened her skin espcially in the forehead area.
Cheers,
rfs

I really like the picture, Great headshot, beautiful model. You know the model should have went with gold/copper colors for her make-up, that would have looked perfect, cause her skin is so golden. But I like the picture.

\Ef"fi*gy\, n.; pl. Effigies. [L. effigies, fr. effingere to form, fashion; ex + fingere to form, shape, devise. See Feign.] The image, likeness, or representation of a person, whether a full figure, or a part; an imitative figure; -- commonly applied to sculptured likenesses, as those on monuments, or to those of the heads of princes on coins and medals, sometimes applied to portraits.

Compliments of Dictionary.com

I don't see too much wrong with this name?

There's nothing wrong with it *per se.* However, the most common usage of the word in modern English is in the phrase "burned in effigy." Just seemed like sort of a negative connotation to me. If she likes it, no problem.

Yeah, I didn't really like the eyes either, but she was trying for a wilder look. I don't think that is even eye make-up, see didn't have much to work with in that department.

Fredrick,
Thanks for the reply, good points, I was aware of the sharpness, I will be fixing that on the other images. I didn't catch the crease on the shoulder, whoops, On my monitor the images isn't overly dark, it is however a little on the flat side.

Her full name on OMP is PrettyEffigy. I'm not sure if she knows what it means or not.
