Nice project! Here'e one observation. The depth of field you're using is good in that it isolates the model. However, the background isn't working for you. The surface she is on (a rocky plateau or patio?) is rough, but uniform. Your small depth of field causes the surface to blur in mid-image -- which is distrubing.

The fix is 1) use a much deeper depth of field or 2) move to a different surface.

Being a Yogi myself (just kidding, I'm not that good). I would have to say that this shot of "crows pose" is quite nice. I am curious as to where this image was shot. The fact that she is doing this pose on a sort of cobbled limestone helps me to appreciate her talent even more!

The location is an old development in the North of Cozumel, that never developed. A whole community of streets, just Jungle, cobblestone & reptiles.

Shouldn't the background have some blur, to give more definition to the subject?

Thanx for your feedback - it is much appreciated...

Not being a yoga person myself I have no idea if this is the correct form for this pose, but I would suggest that if she could have lifted her head to gaze forward or turned sideways to look at the viewer it would have had more impact. As it looks now she's just about to do a faceplant...ouch!

Probably tougher than h*ll to do but this image is a good illustration for a Nude Yoga manual whereas my suggestion might be better suited to an 'art' book...eh?

Still, kudos to the model for doing this and to you for capturing it.

My opinion...take/leave.

The "ideal" position is actually to lift the head to look forward.

This is very true... Trouble is, when lifting the gaze one's balance is shifted and makes the pose 2x as difficult. Face planting is a very real possibility.

One thing to be said...not many people can do that pose, I don't even dream to want to try...so top marks to the model.

It would be nice to see what other images he's come up with...Richard
