From this morning. Ambient light and a little curves adjustment.

I have been thinking about doing some shots with the blue pleiades ball for a while. This was a new experiment for me. Your comments and critiques, in all flavors, encouraged and appreciated.

It is interesting that I pull up your image and one where the artist projected an image on the model's body with a slide projector within seconds of each other. What you have done is not to rely on a technique of the 70s but to rely on the basic strands of art. You have used light, shape, and color to create an image that stands on it's own. Nothing against anyone else as I too am often caught up in repeating styles that long since disappeared. The only styles that matter are those that require us as artists to conceive an image that works artistically within a genre that we respect whether it is 100 years old or 30 or yesterday. For me, and this is entirely just me ... the image works. Thank you for sharing your creation.

I like it, but for me there is too much bright white as opposed to the darker colors. Nice change!

OK, I just have to make a small comment on this picture.. I like it alot.. the lines and the colors.. to me are great.. This is as Michael says.. very nice.

While looking it the image, I got to thinking.. about the lines... Straight vertical lines on the background, round for the ball and then her body... wonder how much more contrast of lines.. if she were naked and in the exact same position... looking at the lines of her body her stomach, the thighs.. would have been in my untrained state, a composition that would have "popped" even more.

but that is just my 1.5 cents worth.

Have to disagree with you ...I think if she had been nude the emphasis would ahve been off the colors and lines and more on her...here it is all about the colors..lines...and contrast and she becomes secondary to the composistion instead of making the composistion...

Great thing about photography though...both of us can be right *G*

IMHO, Excellent job. The shadowing across the hips is perfect. I love the shadow at the pubis bone, highlight on the left hip and rib cage. I thing if the model was nude it would ruin the shot. The colors are great and the model's form is clearly defined. My only critique: I find the white background too overpowering, although I am not sure what I would do with it. I think you have lost a little detail in her pants and the the shadow side of her bra. If you fix these in your next attempt I would have to say you have a perfect 10 image. Nice work.
