Hello GG members,
I am just getting into Glam shooting and trying to move to the next level. I am working on getting much better lighting (Strobes), but need a little input on my work at this point. Of course model selection is key to making an outstanding photos, but I wanted to know more about the technique in capturing some of the work I see here in these forums. Thanks for any input!

Thanks and
Happy New Year

I really like the posing on these images and it is good to see the model's eyes well lit. It looks like you had two lights on either side the camera to balance them both out. While this give good overall lighting, it can be a little less than dramatic. JimmyD had a post a while back about safe lighting v. more dramatic light. I would take a look at that. Jimmy has a great eye and his posts have lots of insight.

I agree with Mark, try using a higher lighting ratio and if you have the room, get the model a little further away from the backdrop.

Good stuff guys...
Thank you!
Currently I am working on more powerful lighting and more room to work with to help with this issue. Yes the clients love the looks I have been shooting, but I was looking to make my work improve to the next level. Having top models always helps, but a good technique is what I am trying to master.
I see so many shooting styles, lighting set-ups and versions of what is classified as glamour and i would love to be looked at as a good photographer, but also keep my customers happy with the styles I am currently shooting because they keep coming back with more and more friends.
I am a student of the game and I thank you for the lesson guys...
BTW
Jimmy has some great info posted!!! Good looking...
