I prefer complete shade when shooting outdoors. Sometimes it is difficult to find a location. In this case I believe the light (bright) area at the top is a distraction, because it pulls my eyes up and away from the girl.
Her head is turned very far and her eyes are cut even farther in the same direction, which does not seem to flatter her facial structure.
There are some very nice highlights on her shoulders and hair, but perhaps a bit strong on her arm and hip.
There are times when not everything can be just as I would like it, but I will sacrifice highlights on the shoulders for soft lighting in complete shade. I never have found it convenient to use reflectors, so I try to watch the light so it might range from flat to a little contrast on the face and figure.
