Bad hair day? Really looks 'dark'...almost too much. There's more 'disturbing' than 'glamour' in this. If you were wanting 'dark' then I'd suggest a different lighting ratio. Maybe some PS can do this?

I haven't quite figured out that strange shadow on the nose side of her left eye. It looks like the main light was fairly low, but the highlights in her eyes look like the light was about eye level.

Then there's the teeth. I don't think she's Lauren Hutton, so I haven't figured out the dark area. I'd get rid of it in PS.

I don't know what she's trying to convey. Her expression is pretty blank. She's lifting the bottom of her tank top but why... it's obvious there's a bra underneath.

There's a lot that just doesn't work for me.

I appreciate the comments from everyone.

The hair was actually on purpose. As for it being dark, I'm not sure what happened because the original is not that dark.

Looking at the original file again, I think I clicked off the adjustment layer that brightened the teeth and eyes for some reason.

The more I look at it, I'm not sure what I was going for in the pose/expression. Guess its been a while since Ive had time to pick up the camera. It is comments like above that get me to look more critical/indepth, not sure what word I'm looking for here, so I do appreciate the comments.

So to answer how do I feel about it? Not sure now... but it gives me reason to pick up the camera more often and re-train so-to-speak this old brain.

Thanks again,
Dean

The problem we all have at one time or other is that we become so enamoured with our image that we develop 'blinders'. It's only when others (hopefully your peers) see things and comment/critique that things are reassessed. Sometimes we don't take negative comments well...but you seem to be handling this well.

Believe me we are not trying to put you, your skills or your image down but rather raise your awareness and hopefully elevate your learning and experience. Of course when you are in the middle of the commentary it's hard to remember this.
