I happen to really like the first shot.

Very nice!

At first I didn't really care for the cliff in the left side of the photo, but after looking at it some more I realize that it does offer some nice counter balance for the rocks in the bottom right portion of the photo.

Anyway, very nicely done.

PTL,
Lee

Very nice indeed. How do you get models to get up that early. Lovers no problem :-) See attached

It's not easy at times to get them up that early, but there are some very nice ones who are keen.

Thanks

Here's my problem with the shots. In each shot, the model's face profile is destroyed by her arms.

To be effective a profile must be pretty recognizable for what it is. Obviously this is a girl in a swimsuit, but... and it's a big but... you can't really see her face (or more accurately, the profile of her face.) The first shot comes pretty close, a matter of an inch or so would have 'made' the image. As it is, it just doesn't cut it. But then her body gets lost in the clutter of the rocks.

The second shot... well, it's unfortunate at best. I think if you had moved the model a few feet to clear out the background clutter and had her hold her arms more vertical you might have had a killer image.

Pretty yellow sky by itself can't carry the images.

Just remember, YOU asked for critiques. If the truth hurts...
