Well, first I have to say she is beautiful and you are lucky to have someone who is willing to have a drink and let you have fun.
I like the shot as both she and the dog are alert and gives the photo some life. But I agree with NetMap that the PP blur is not working for me. I believe you are trying to remove the clutter in the background and bring the viewer's focus on her and the dog. Maybe using a vinette instead would b a better way to do the same thing? In reality, I am not so sure that the backgound needs to be removed from the photo.
Her missing arm is a shame. To overcome this I might consider sacraficing the dog and cropping for a headshot (without the blur). Some people complain about hair in the eyes...but I am not one of them. If she likes the shot...then great.
I like the natural lighting from the window but I also see catchlights in their eyes. So, you used just enough lighting to expose for the photo without ruining the natural light.
I'll bet you have other good shots from this shoot.
