At least she's wearing a collar that identifies her after the head shot.

I mentioned this in a different post, Keep fingers off trigers espically when you are placing a gun to your head. I know I know it's not loaded. Seen too many "unloaded" guns go off.

Keeping the finger off the trigger would change the message of the image. At some point, you have to have confidence in what you are doing to take measurable risks.

Just remove all firing pins from hand guns if you intend for them to be used as props. OR buy PROP guns that do not shoot at all. The completely real looking rubber ones.

Ask Brandon Lee about risks associated with guns and ones that were supposed to be "props"

I do believe it wasnt the weapon but the ammo used was suppposed to be the prop in that instance. If I recall correctly the weapon was a real one.

Appropriately named... "A recent headshot".

That being said. and this being the critique section....
If this is to tell a story of a person who is on the verge of committing suicide, I do not think it is believable. I do not see a person in this state of mind with facial makeup, lip gloss, eyeliner, fingernails that are manicured (or so it appears), hair groomed, except it is a bit untidy on the viewers left. I do not visualize them in clothing so stylish.

To me the visual story would be one of a disturbed person and the entire concept would reflect that... untidy, un-kept, unglamorous. No makeup, .. etc..
As far as the actual photography, I get the same feeling. a somewhat glamorous lighting style and nothing else.
An obligatory image is required according to the rules, but I have nothing of the same genre.

Re: A recent Headshot...
I have to agree with Ben.
The images that come to my mind for someone suicidal, would be as he described or someone in tears, with makeup having run down her face from the tears etc? Looking dishevelled and not in their right mind. Maybe shot from an angle below where one could see a small table with an empty vodka bottle an empty turned over pill bottles etc all slightly out of focus, bringing our attention to the model and the gun...The picture telling the whole story in just one photo.

My main thought with this image is it's generally too bright. The concept is dark and it seems like you should go with lots of shadows and textured types of lighting or go opposite and go very bright. The concept has impact but the image isn't making the most of its potential
