The concept is there but I’m not sure on the angle.

I’m assuming she’s talking to a lover, only I can’t see her face to reflect the feeling she has. I can tell by her right hand that she’s aroused some. Perhaps at this angle if her hand was on her right breast.

If you change the angle some to show some emotion on her face this will work. This is just my opinion.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...and in this case, just enough is left to the imagination while still showing plenty that I find it very appealing. I read somewhere once that if you create thought, you have created art. Different people will think different things about this photo, but there is no doubt in my mind that you have created art. Let me observe that this is apparently a mature woman, not the typical 20'ish vamp encountered here. But the rings on the left hand signal she's off-limits.

Kinda spoils it for us old dudes...

a very classy and sexy photo. Nothing like a confident and sexy mature woman.
And that really comes across in the photo.

For me, the angle works fine. I can see enough to form the ideas of what's going on. Very nice lighting too.

I like the angle -- it makes the shot anonymous and voyueristic at the same time. However, I think minor details like the upper right corner, the dark fold in the bed cover near her head and dark flower petal shap (shadow ?) coming in from the left side at her knee could be xleaned up. Her forehead looks very detailess...did you blur it? Points along the hairline are blurred and points appear sharper, making me think there was post on the face. Her hair (which is closer) has good detail and skin on her far hand has more detail (which is further). Lack of detail in the middle means a) it wasn't there to begin with, or b) you may want to back off the adjustment a bit.

Your original is much cleaner than the posted image looks ... the compression got you. RFS has a post showing more detail, but in essence, post a link to your image without the "/large" directory in it.

Thanks for all the comments! It's a work in progress and will be reshot several times and I will share the results with you all for additional comments.

As an aside, it would be nice to have an easier, more direct procedure to upload full-sized images on this website - with instructions in one location. Right now, I have to get out my notes and re-read them each time I upload.

I shoot a lot of stock photography and have my higest acceptance rate with images pretty much right out of the camera. In my experience, the more post-processing, the less likely an image is to be accepted by the stock agencies. Problem is, with a mature model such as this one, some post-processing is inevitable. This image was used as an example to test how much post-processing is too much for stock photography, and I decided to post it here also.

Thanks again,
Doc

There are a lot of good an valid points here many of which i would have missed.

I think if the image is about her being 0n the phone you may think to light to phone to bring it out more . It is pretty good in the large image but the smaller images it starts to get lost.

The first issue for me was her finger nails as there are brightly colored in an image that otherwise is not so colorful and there detail and brightness was a draw for my eye. If is was doing it again i might ask her to hold the phone a bit differently and use the color of the phone to help with the finger nail color selection - then select an appropriate angle.

The processing skin blending has already been discussed - but a lot fo the issues your having can be resolved but reducing the effects.

I have tried many times to get real shots of a model on the phone the Boyfriend who called in the middle of the shoot with little success for many reasons similar to this.
