Wow. She is simply breath-taking. Nice shots! The D300 is in my future some time but the D200 is working quite well. I don't have the money to play "keep up with the Joneses" and could probably live the rest of my life and do just fine with my D200 but I may upgrade at some point.

Agreed. I bought my D100 in 2002 and resisted upgrading for as long as I could (it has over 300k images, and the original firmware) But, as my business grew, I found that I needed backup equipment. I started by buying backup lights first (because I could use them with my existing equipment), then got an SB-800 speedlight (allowing me to repurpose my SB-80 as a backup flash) ... and finally got the D300 (skipping the D200 temptation of last year).
All this backup equipment was a good decision because before Thanksgiving, one of my Alien Bees stopped working and two others had sync jack problems (so I returned them all for repairs) ... and, my new SB-800 stopped firing (I still don't have it back from Nikon). Really glad I have backup equipment.
Here are a few more shots from my learning (experimentation) with the D300. Studio shots lit with three Alien Bees. Outside shot lit with my SB-80DX
