I think it would be better if we were imagining that a female subject had gone skinny dipping. The two garments you show are indeterminate. Probably a bra in the mix would have made for more interest.
Cheers,

Two things come to mind:

I can't make up my mind whether I like the tilt. It gives the shot a short of casual, illicit "quick grab" quality to it that complements the concept, and yet...

Perhaps, in addition to the bra (& possibly other lacy unmentionables) the clothes could make a short trail to the sign, as if the person were overcome by the urge to take a dip in the fountain and disrobed quickly as they approached, with the last item hanging off the corner of the sign.

It does not do it for me unless there is a model in the water. I have no imagination.

thanks guys, lacy bra would have helped a lot I was thinking it needed shoes too. (the water is only a foot deep, cold and nasty)

The tilt, combined with the high viewpoint, makes me feel that the water should be pouring out the lower right portion of the fountain's wall. I think the viewpoint is good, but the tilt isn't. I agree about lacy bra, panties - something more instantly identifiable to us Neanderthals as female. I also find the background too busy - particularly the lamp. I wonder if you should redo this during summer or even late spring, when the leaves are more uniformly green - to give a less obviously textured background. Perhaps cleaning the foreground as well? A little more overcast day?
Nice work, though. Subtle, humorous.

Love the idea...

I have a great imagination and appreciate what you've put forth. I'm sure there are technical criticisms that would be applicable, but I think your request for comment was more about the concept, so with that in mind I agree that prop choice is important and could be improved.

Personally I'd like to see more "implied" shots presented, perhaps your efforts will serve as inspiration.

Thanks!

I do like the tilt for that quick shot look.

As for the bra in the photo: that would help too, or maybe, and I know this is out there, a pair of granny-panties. That would be a riot. And maybe a set of teeth, too. ROTFL. Sorry if this offends, but I'm really trying to develop a geriatric boudoir style.

I agree with the others' suggestions, Bob. But as far as the concept itself -- I like it. Knowing your work, I'll bet if you do it again, you'll nail it.
