Obviously I like to heavily Photoshop my images. But please let me know what you think of my final result.

I really would like to improve my skills so honest opinions are greatly appreciated!

This is Brandi, shot in my living room studio with 2 lights. one ring light for fill and a bare bulb camera right:

On a more serious note I feel like you need to add a little separation from the background. You've lost her hair in the darkness and her left arm isn't far behind. I am assuming you intended a dark look but a properly placed rim light would add quite a bit while still preserving the dark look.

If its any consolation here's a photo of mine where I also lost the back of my model's head to the background.

I like it also -- it's different than most other shots. By the way, I see you're in Hell...I've been there and back a few times!

Good points. I am not experienced enough to have thought to take all that into consideration, so as much as I'd like to say that I intentionally lost the detail you speak of for artistic merit - I actually just didn't think that part out. I almost lost her face too, but I dodged it back.

Thanks for the opinion!

Don't sweat it Kemp. If this is one of your first attempts you've done a good job. It takes time to develop an eye for the small details, but you're well on your way with shots like this.

Keep shooting,
JW

I like it . especially the sort of metallic look of her skin - almost like a bronze statue.

Given the shot seems to be about the underwear - it do not think loosing anything other than the underwear to the background is an issue. But if the intention is to create a shot that highlights the models characteristics it is a dismal failure, because we have lost her identity entirely. ha ha

I am accused of over photoshopping images are well - just ignore it - that is a matter of taste and certainly yoru free to express yourself artisitcly.

I put this image up because I rarely shoot fashion and do not have many shots where the models identity and personality has been removed entirely
