These girls challenged me to get some good "pretty" photos of them. "since we're not model sized"

They like them, what do you guys think??

Well, I'd have to agree with the above poster, I think you are going to have some happy clients, if you haven't shown them the images yet. But I have to mention something regarding your title. While I'm not one of the top end photographers here, I have no problem working with a model who dosn't fit the normal modeling standard that is out there today. BTW, this is not a knock on any photographer or model or anybody's work, just my opinion, there are some excellent photographers on this site.

My only real critique would be shot #2. To me the dead space over her head and the lighting are not up to your other shots.

I honestly can't believe I did something right. Dave?? Glen??? gee you guys must all be actually teaching me something...

I meant no disrespect for the larger than size 0 models out there. The actual quote was "Can you shoot real women instead of those pencil girls that look good from any angle" And I did say "not from any angle" [grin]

Thanks for the comments!!!

We're glamour photographers, our job as such is to make ALL women that ask feel beautiful about themselves, they know they arent perfect, we only have to show them they are closer than they think.

[grin]
see Rolando, I've read your books...

Hey Bob,
don't worry, that's what I figured you meant. But even when I work with the smaller sized models, I still hear complaints that they are too fat, have rolls, the rear end isn't perfect, they wish something else were bigger (think implants) along with all sorts of other complaints about their appearence. Me, it dosn't matter what size they wear, I do my best to calm these complaints, ie, they look great, etc.

Bob, one thing that strikes me is that the photos have personality. You managed to get them relaxed enough so that they don't have the deer in the headlights look -- and that's way more than half the battle. The expression on #3 is hard to get on a non-pro, but you got it.

I agree with Steve on #2. The light seems a bit harsh. Maybe a bigger softbox would help, or move what you have closer.
