Jen cam by wit a special request for color - she was actually pretty specific about the colors too. So i shot an processed with this in mind.

Since this was my first attempt a very different style- please give me your thoughts regarding the results.

i cannot understand why these images do not get even the smallest remark.

This is a huge departure from my typical style and i would have loved to hear what others think

I refrained from commenting because I'm trying not to say anything which might be in the least construed as criticism, as I have nothing to post. But you and I have been here long enough that perhaps you won't mind the following, even without a supporting post...
The woman is lovely and exotic, and the unusual color balance in the first and last, as well as the somewhat warm and yellow tones in the second and third work pretty well for me. But the images are rather soft to my eyes, and more than flatteringly soft, more than dreamily soft. Only the first seems to have reasonable sharpness about her eyes.
But she is gorgeous and the settings are, IMO, good.
Thanks for sharing.

I like the color of these pictures, it's nice to see something that looks a bit out of the ordinary.
My favorite is #1, the color is nice and warm and I like the coy pose.
I would agree with jford, her face looks a little soft for my taste, have you softened her face more than any other part of the picture ?
Great shoots though - thanks for posting

I am the same way - i refrain from comment because i may not easily be able to find an image to post that illustrates what i refer to for rule 10. Personally i do not care if the critic has even shot a camera - i seek opinions - some get thrown out and some have real merit.

This model asked me to create some shots similar to a few she had found done by a number of different photographers. Part of the request was this excessive dreamy like processing.

The reason i seek a variety of thoughts is not to get approval from my peers but to get opinions generally. After all those who are much more accomplished will think it is terrible and those who are just starting out may be be impressed. Feedback just provides a sounding board to keep us on track and our heads screwed on properly. Butwe all get better because of this discussion.

thanks again

shoot like photoshop doesn't exist.

get it right in the camera without having to do anything in post production.

all I am feeling from these images is way excessive post production.

cool model, cool poses and set, cool lighting, and too much excessive post production.
