I found the light quite appealing, but did you use a wide lens? I don't like the distortion on the first one. I like the second one better, did you try to experiment with a softer light?

Yeah I used a Tamron 17-35 with a 430ex speedlite and a Lightsphere. Just trying to get the flash just right so it didn't seem so obvious

In what position was the lightsphere? Was it pointing at her or pointing upwards? Also, what was your shutter speed and aperture?

As for the images, I agree the distortion from the short lens is not appealing. However, the lighting looks great. I also like the tilt in the first image, but not so much in the second.

I had it pointing up since I was so close if I remember. I believe I had the flash compensation at about a -1. F/4 1/1000 shutter

Love the background!! The way you've set the flash "WORKS" IMO

was the model leaning? Is all the water going to fall off "the edge?"
