Nothing fancy on the background material. It's a large cotton/nylon
sheet in one of those improvising situations that worked out well for
this. The color is, Burgandy.

Jim, Very successful use of a sheet. You got all the wrinkles out. Love the color. She pops off the background all right, but I don't really like the color combination. Her pose, while interesting, isn't very flattering to her form. Lines on her legs are all interrupted. Ballet is all about lines.

Keep working with her, you will learn a lot.

Definitely a successful job getting the wrinkles out of the sheet! Overall the lighting is good, not exceptional, but it gets the job done and does provide some depth to the model. It seems like a nice sharp image. I don't like the color scheme at all. If I am ever unsure about colors, I use a color harmony software application, like color consultant, to provide color choices. I would change the blue stripes in her shirt, or the background, in photoshop because one should go. I'm not sure is doing ballet, that looks more like a yoga pose. Just the same, it is not my favorite pose, although it does highlight her legs which are one of her strongest features.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll only critique an work that is similar to my own. I don't have any glamor shots so I'll just observe and keep my feedback to myself.

I kind of agree - rule10 inhibits people from critiquing others work so the feedback is reduced. I have written critiques and realized i do not have an appropriate rule 10 photo available and then just stopped writing the critique with a plan to return another day.
