First serious attempt at glamour. Models wearing wigs. Pls see my portfolio merlin1477024, only 2 images now. No edits or PS besides crop to 8x10 and resize to ~250K. Thanks, all! Great place to learn. Thx, All!

I think there are some contrast and exposure issues. #1 has some detail issues. You should always watch legs when a model is sitting because they tend to flatten out on a chair. Have the model raise the leg slightly at the moment of the shot. #2 is better, but a little flat.

For #1, I am not sure that I would have gone with a darker dress. It really shows up in #2 where the dress is darker than her skin, and there is a white background. If it was to be a 'high key' type shot, the eye is drawn to the darkest part of the image, which is her clothing. I would have had her wear a white outfit so you were drawn more to her face, or put up a darker background so that it shifted to 'low key' and her face became the lightest part of the image. I do like the pose and expression on #2. Great stare into the lens.

Also, as was mentioned previously, watch the exposure. I think the camera is overcompensating for the dark skin/clothing in the second shot. If you shoot in automatic, use some exposure compensation, perhaps a -1 shift, and use the histogram to get feedback for adjustments from there. You should get a black spike from the outfit.
