This shot of model Devon was taken at the Rolando Gomez McAllen Workshop. This image is cropped vertical as I originally took this shot as a wider horizontal. Does the cropping work?

On another note about Rolando's workshops, they are a lot of fun and well worth it to attend. Rolando doesn't hold anything back. MUA provided by the awesome SallyK.

Thanks.

She seems to be missing a finger on the hand on the right. This really jumps out at the viewer. If the finger is really missing, then the hand needed to be posed to show the missing finger. Also because of the pose with her leaning to the right, it causes a crease in the skin. Otherwise, nice looking shot.

Just talking abut the corp, the balance doesn't seem right. I am also not comfortable with cropping at the knees.

Thank you for your comments.

To RFS, her ring finger is not missing. She has it tucked beneath her hand as if giving a sign.

To kgphoto. I wasn't too sure about the crop at the knees either and I guess I was right. I thank you for your input.

So the image is supposed to be about the finger sign she is giving.

Unless it is important in this shot - i agree with RFS - the image would be better, she would be flattered to a greater extent - if that finger was showing.

Actually I think both hands could be better placed to eliminate the finger spread which makes her look too tense. Her hair is a mess - although i like to shoot messy hair the parts falling in front of her face and eyes are not very attractive and could be improved.

The fold in the skin should be minimized or eliminated with photoshop - I often ask models to stretch the limits of a pose with the intent of correcting this later.
