Give it to me straight. If you go easy on me Iíll never learn (I am hard-headed). This was taken in my garage. The empty space will be used for text.

I like it except for a couple of things. The eyes are way too soft - the whole image is soft but that helps skin and hurts when trying to connect with the eyes, so be very picky about focus. Second is the little triangle of light on her left cheek - if she had turned her head to the left a little, I think it would have improved the shot and been less distracting. Lastly, the one area of hair blowing doesn't work for me. I think it's either all blowing or none blowing to improve and be less distracting.

My big objection is that the eyes lack any "pop".... they are a bit too dark...

Just to add to the comments previously made: I think the highlights on the hat are too strong. This could just be on the web image.

I like the models expression. You pulled a lot of life out of her. Good job.

I'd like to see more light on her face. When I shoot in my garage I use a reflector just outside the door.

The picture is too small to judge the focus on her eyes, it could be a problem with down scalling without using bicubic sharper algorithm. I think the main problem here is her face. The cap is narrowing her upper part of her face. Her teeth are big and too white and pop up in the picture, her eyes should be more important, but they lack light. Her face look too round around her mouth. Her neck is a bit too heavy and it reminds me about a man's neck than a woman's neck. This impression is amplified by her head position, perpendicular to her shoulders line.

She looks like a construction worker or woodcutter. I'm exaggerating a bit to understand better, while english is not my native language. I think you could ask her to lean a bit her head in a more feminine attitude. Keep her hair close to her neck on her right side to mask her heavy neck.

I don't know what you tried to do with lighting, but here is my opinion. You have to decide which is your main light. If the light on the right is only a kick light, then it spills a bit too much light on her left cheek, as already someone observe it already. If your main light is that on the left, I think is too weak and placed too high. Try to obtain catchlights in her eyes and you'll bring her eyes to life.

I hope I didn't hurt too much your feelings.
