Well it really depends on what you think is wrong with the photo. I don't care for the white splotch to the right of the mouth. Now I realize it might be some sort of jewelry or piercing, but since it looks like a white splotch that's what some people will see it as and it is distracting. Something seems wrong with the skin texture also. I can't tell whether is just grainy or whether there is a makeup problem.

I'm by no means an expert but I find the photo very appealing.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this picture was "crunchy" The hair looks dry, the skin texture is not what I would expect. I agree with RFS on the white piercing. Have you tried converting it to black and white?

As I've said, this is an unretouched pic, but i'll try to improve all the details that you pointed out so gently.

Thanks for all your comments

Frotzy, I think you did a fine job with the capture. All you need to do now is run it through PS to add the finishing touches. I went to your flickr site and looked at the large version. She has excellent skin and just needs a small amount of healing brush to clean up a few very small issues. Also, while you're playing with the healing brush try running it through the hair over the middle of her forehead. That area in particular needs a little bit of "straightening up". Boost the overall contrast and especially pay attention to your black point. Additionally, I would tone down the catchlights a little since they are fairly dominant competition for the eyes themselves. Lastly, a small saturation boost to the color sections of the make-up around the eyes would increase overall impact. You may choose to do a little skin smoothing but in my opinion you don't really need to.

Thanks, David
