This one was posed, but what do you think? Has it caught the future event. They like iit. I like it, what's a general feeling for the pose?

The pose has a "homespun" style written all over it and there is a good market for homespun images. Go with it.

However, their pose relative to the camera and the light source is just a few degrees off. By rotating, them the sun would have lightened her face and blouse and we would see more of the fathers expression. My eyes are immediately drawn from his white shirt down his arm to her abdomen and then to her dress instead of them being drawn to her smile.

You have a very nice family and you're a grandpa. Congratulations.

Thanks for the comments Rick
OK on the homespun, All of my sons and their partners like the homspun look and not the formal posed ones. They just hate it when I get em all dressed up for a formal so I don't bother.
As for the sun angle, well the daughter in law was particularly sensitive to the sun that day and getting that angle was hard enough. Not quite sure how I could stop the flair of the white shirt withouth getting her face darker. Well anyway the event is over and we have yet another granddaughter some 4 weeks ago.

All your comments taken on board though, I'll try harder next time.
