Ok right off the bat I'll say I'm a little confused by who's hand is on the strawberry. At first I thought she was being fed and the more I look at it the more I think its her hand.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but the lighting set up isn't doing too much for me. I would love to see a couple of other shots from this setup to see if I can help you out a little more on it.

It looks like you've taken this shot with a Nikon. I recognize the redness on her cheek. I almost always throw a hue & sat layer in photoshop with a -10 saturation on the red channel. For some reason Nikons seem to run a little hot on the red channel.

That's all I got for right now. Keep it up!

Thanks for the quick reply, David. Here are the stats:

Nikon D80
ISO 100
shutter speed 20
aperture 4.0
lens: 28-80 mm

Lighting was halogen shop lights (saving up for better lights, but gotta work with what I have for now--I set the white balance on the camera to 3000k). I had a small halogen hair light on her, but it's cropped out. I think I could have used a little rim light to set her off more from the backdrop.

Model is half Japanese/half Italian so she does have a yellow-brown cast to her skin, but I agree with what you said desaturating the red.

Here is another from that set. I'm not as happy with this one--her hair lacks definition. This was shot before I added the hair light.
