Two for comparation

Here you can see two photos where only differance is quick PSD work on saturation and contrast. The first one is kind of original with just skin threatment and the second one where I did as explained(saturation and contrast) some changes.
According to your personal and more expirianced knowledge do you find the second image better... am I on right way or should I leave original as it is.
Any other suggestion is welcome.

My vote too is for the first one. I think that the contrast of the first photo looks really nice for skin tones.

Why not have both? Just stack the saturated one over the non-saturated one and use a layer mask to paint in the skin areas of the bottom layer. If you're not comfortable with layers and masks you can always just use the history brush on the skin after saturating everything else.
