Hi everyone!

I am about 6 months into a photography addiction which won't seem to quit.
I went from a point-and-shoot christmas present to a Nikon D50, three lenses,
tripod, monopod, reflector, portable hard disk/mp3 player thingie, etc, etc.

Now, after a long battle with newbie-type problems, feel I have a picture worth
posting:

Please comment, I really appreciate the help and will do my best to incorporate
your suggestions into my next shoot. This photo really makes me feel like I've
crossed the threshold from "newbieness" to something a little better,
perhaps "beginnerness". ;-)

As for what I see in this one, the framing could have been better to remove the car
from the top right corner and the person's legs at the top of the frame. Also, a little
more facial detail would have been nice. I was in a really difficult position to get
this shot, so I am glad it worked out well enough.

Not bad for a first post, I think you have analyzed this image quite well, as to its weaknesses, not sure how difficult your shooting position was, but had you moved your camera position to your left, you would have corrected all you issues.

Very nice first post.

I hate to sound like Christian, but watch for the details when you're shooting. You've discussed two that you missed. A third would be the way that her bikini bottom is bunched-up. When you see thatsort of thing, ask your model to adjust it.

Keep it up!

The obvious issues seem to have been identified and discussed. Why complain about your shooting position - many photographers and about 85% of the male populace might wish they were there to take yoru place. LOL Nice shot - gorgeous model

THAT'S why I keep getting slapped. You're supposed to ask the MODEL to adjust it! I get it now!
