Blinds photographs are a royal pain, especially with digital and the various contrasts of light. There a few things you could have done here:

- Get her eyes in the slat of light....this would have made the composition better.
- I see the string from the blinds going up her body....it ruins the effect
- Crank up the levels in PS to make the light brighter and to bring out more of her hair. Right now, the shot looks poorly composed with all the space above her head.
- I don't like her body position...it looks off kilter from the lines, and her expression is odd.

E for Effort. Glad you shared.

My $.02,

Jim

Hey,

I like the effect, but I have one question. I know the TECHs of this type of shoot is hard to set up and expose correctlyand may need more equipment than most / I have. But, with the abilities of Photoshop. Would it not be easier to shoot a simple corrected image and add the blind effect in later with digital images? Of course Med-film would have to be with a correct set up for effect or scanned in to digital. Or is this an Ethical issue when presenting your work because, it is not documentary or journalism but, end results of an image.

i agree with what JL said. also, you might try using the shadow/highlight tool. i'll bet there's a bunch of detail in her hair. the use levels or curves.
