Here's one for critique I recently posted in the main forum. I keep asking myself what I could have done better, I'm just not sure what, but there's always something, so I thought I'd ask some of the pros about anything that might be possibly wrong with this one; seems almost like a perfect shot to me. Thanks

I am not a pro but I will take a shot here.

First I really like this image. Great pose, beautiful model and a fantastic use of negative space. My one nit would be that her right elbow seems to be in sharper focus than her face. I find my eye drawn to that. Maybe if you blur it slightly?

At any rate, keep up the great work.

Well, let me throw my .02 cents worth in. I love the shot! But.... I would think about going back bringing in a little more detail out in the gloves and toning down the exposure. To me, they keep pulling my eyes away from the rest of the image.
Just me, and 50 of my opinions still won't buy you a cup of coffee. Only I could do that.

The pose is very good with the arms angled, you sort of wander around in the picture and stay with it. With some photos, you don't hang around very long to see what is really there. If I were to do anything different, I would not change the pose, but I would have her wear black gloves and a black dress. That would keep the angles and interest, but bring up the emphasis of the eyes and the pearls. Of course there are many ways you could crop it different, but that is more personal taste, in my opinion. After a photo session, I often sit down and go over what I have done and see what I could do different the next time.

processing on her face seems a little overdone especially when compared to the skin on her right arm and upper chest... they don't seem to match. the contrast might be a slight bit high adding to this problem.
